Mike Matusow doesn't want to pay..

Mike Matusow is showing once again that he cannot be seen as a ‘gentleman’ by not paying off Ted Forrest. He admitted he doesn’t have the money. For people that missed it: Mike Matusow and Ted Forrest had a bet that Ted Forrest couldn’t lose 50 lbs. (22 kilo’s) in less than 2,5 months. If he lost Forrest had to pay Matusow $150,000, if he won Matusow had to pay $2,000,000. Read more about the bet here.

As you might know, Ted Forrest won the bet and Matusow had to pay. The problem is that ‘The Mouth’ doesn’t have $2 million: “I don’t have the $2 million to pay out… I made that bet because I didn’t think it was feasibly possible… I could pay him a big lump, but I’m going to wait six months to see if he dies first. I think he’s 50-50 to die.”

Matusow now wants to pay $5,000 for 18 years long. With this proposition he proves that he is not a math wizard in any case, cause it takes 33 years to pay off his debt of $2 million!

Ted Forrest is not happy with the way Matusow is dealing with this and thinks he should just shut up and pay. “He beat me last year (with another bet, Marawapokerclub), and I paid him off. I think he should try to pay me as much as he can in the next two months and then work out a satisfactory, reasonable, agreeable payment arrangement,” says Forrest.

Prop bets are very common in the poker world, and there is an unwritten rule you should always honor them. The poker world will be watching Matusow to see how he will handle this situation..
