Rush Poker going mobile

October 14, 2010 | by admin | posted in News

rush poker mobile phoneFull Tilt Poker is running some beta tests of their popular game Rush Poker for mobile phones. They chose specifically for Rush Poker because mobile phones are not really suited for playing multiple tables. By picking Rush Poker as their mobile game, Full Tilt can offer a speedy game of poker which is less boring than playing 1 ‘normal’ table.

Because of the strict Apple rules, it is currently not possible to play poker with an iPhone; Apple doesn’t allow real money gambling applications in its App Store.

When you want to test out Rush Poker on your mobile, you need to be a member of Full Tilt ‘Black Card’ program. This is FT’s special club for frequent players, much like a frequent flyer club. The world’s second largest poker room declared that next month all Full Tilt players are eligible to test out Rush Poker on their mobile phones.

At the moment Black Card Members can test Rush Poker on these phones: Acer Liquid Stream S110, Motorola Droid 2, Motorola Droid Pro / Droid 2 World Edition, Motorola Droid X, HTC Droid Incredible, HTC Evo 4G, HTC Google Nexus One, HTC Desire, HTC Desire HD, and the T-Mobile G2. For the experts: these are all Android Phones.

Poker Pro and instructor Brian “bw07507″ Wilber was one of the first testers and he was quite positive: “Sometimes you have to click the buttons a couple of times to get them to work, but I assume that is just the lag. The ‘Fold’ and ‘Call’ buttons do what they say and the ‘Raise’ to button brings up another prompt with a slider and ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons where you can adjust the bet size and then click ‘Bet.’”

About the performance he said: “It seemed a little clumsy and often I couldn’t figure out what the bet size was because of the lag. However, it is easy to see everything you would want to know like players’ names, stack sizes, your cards, and the community cards.”
